BAKC is a collective of artists on the UK new music scene that want to take action against knife crime in the areas they live in by raising awareness through music.

To inspire young people involved in knife crime and anti social behavioural patterns and offer them an alternative choice in life.

BAKC was thought up whilst reflecting on the state of our society and the times we are living in.
We came to the conclusion that what is missing for young people is positive choices as alternatives to negative street culture and positive role models.

We decided we could offer an alternative to young people and help inspire them to a more productive way of life.

THIS IS THE PLAN.

To build a campaign starting today culminating in a large rock n roll boat party at the end of the summer featuring bands that support BAKC.

We want schools, youth groups to back the campaign, encourage young people over the summer months to form bands, set up fan pages on facebook and we will pick a winner to play the event.

As well as forming bands, if your into art, design posters for the campaign to be used at the summer event as well as future events across the UK.

Into fashion?
Then why not design some BAKC clothing or accessories.

We want all bands across the UK to join this page and ask their friends to join.
Set up BAKC events in your area and we will support you every step of the way.

WHAT IS THE LONG TERM GOAL?

To have BAKC as a national campaign. Young people to be forming bands in their spare time, setting up events all over the UK, donating proceeds to what will become a registered charity.

WHERE WILL THE PROCEEDS GO?

Money raised by YOU and the charity will provide schools and local youth groups with access to funds to buy whatever equipment they might need as well as studio time for their bands to record.

SO WHAT CAN YOU DO NOW?

The first step is to join the campaign on this page.
Invite your friends to join.
Leave us messages - add pictures of you or your band.

Let us know of ways you want to get involved.

We need bands to offer their time to work with youth groups over the summer months teaching them all the skills you've learnt on the way.

Spread the word and let's get this revolution going and inspire the youth of the UK.
